Please read these notes and the paragraphs overleaf
before you set out on your journey of exploration in
prayer.
There are 5 designated prayer stations (Places for you
to go within the grounds of Dunfield house where you
might pray for specific things as indicated in the enclosed
helps)
Clicking on the links below will take you to more detail
on each prayer station. Alternatively, try the interactive
version which is accessible from the Retreat
location page.
The prayer stations are:
(But if you have some favourite place that you would
like to use for one of the locations feel free to substitute
that for any one of 2 to 4 above)
Why 5 prayer stations? Because, with an hour available,
this will allow roughly 10 minutes at each with time
to walk from each to the next.
Some don’ts:
Don’t be afraid of spending ten minutes (or more)
in any location if that seems right to you.
Don’t be put off by someone else nearby. They
will be having their own talk with the Lord and while
you don’t want to disturb them you don’t
need to impress them either with what you are doing.
Don’t be too constrained by anything in this pack
of helps! Try to use the guidance given for each prayer
station but if your visit with the Lord takes you down
a different prayer or meditation path follow it!
Don’t rabbit on!
Some do’s:
Start at prayer station 1, finish at prayer station
5 but go to 2, 3 and 4 in whichever order best suits
you.
Be calm, relaxed and still. Savour the silences and
the sounds of Dunfield. Let God get a word in edgeways!
