| Our
annual visits to Dunfield House provide opportunities
for our members of all
ages (9 months to 90 years) to
share a weekend of fun, delicious food, & excellent
fellowship and teaching. This offers individuals and
families a unique opportunity to grow closer together
in a way that is not to easy to do during normal church
activities and enables people to develop their own relationship
with God.
The spacious facilities make it possible for people
to meet together in large or small groups or to find
quiet areas for more personal reflections.
The grounds and surrounding countryside are enjoyed
by all ages. They offer safe areas to play, walks to
explore and panoramic views. All the staff make every
effort to accommodate our needs and make us truly welcome
in a relaxed and homely environment.
(AJ6) has regularly
been guests at Dunfield House for its annual Conference.
AJ6 Conference is our main event of the year. We bring
together young Jewish people from across the country for
an intensive week of group activities and informal education.
It is also where we elect our new leadership for the coming
year.
Dunfield House is the ideal place to hold such an
event. Its isolated setting gives those attending a real
feeling of having travelled somewhere, and focuses their
minds for the week, in particular enabling us to have a
very spiritual Sabbath experience. The facilities are excellent,
with comfortable rooms and everything we need provided.
The staff are extremely friendly, and go out of their way
to accommodate our particular religious requirements. AJ6
looks forward to returning to Dunfield House many times
in the future.

The Chinmaya Mission is Hindu charity that aims to
provide individuals from any background, the wisdom
of Hinduism,
and practical means for spiritual growth and happiness,
enabling them to become positive contributors to society.
We will be visiting Dunfield House for the second time
this year due to the fantastic atmosphere of the House.
The magnificent view, the comfort of the surroundings
but most of all the hospitality, generosity and outstanding
level of service provided by the management will ensure
that we will be regular visitors to Dunfield from now
on.
In Hindu culture, we believe that one's home and
even one's cooking is a direct reflection of the love
and
warmth of the Soul. Our first visit to Dunfield felt
as if we were guests in the home of an old friend and
the comfort and sense of ease was tangible in the air.
Despite having separate religious backgrounds, we found
that the attitude of Dunfield House's management was
one of universality. Indeed, the Centre Manager once
told me that he wished all religions around the world
could
spare the time to learn and appreciate what we all
have in
common and build a common foundation of love and solidarity;
a sentiment we at the Chinmaya Mission strongly believe
in.
We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all the
staff at Dunfield House for a memorable stay and we
look forward to seeing you soon!
