Elan Valley Course – how water gets to a tap!

Birmingham’s main water supply comes from the Elan Valley. For several years now Dunfield House has been hosting groups who have enjoyed its facilities as a base for exploring the Elan Valley Area and its dams, reservoirs and waterworks – all this in the heart of magnificent scenery.

Courses are usually from Monday – Wednesday or Wednesday – Friday (subject to availability) during the months of September to February. 

Minimum Group size is thirty students; teachers go free.  The agreed price includes all meals, accommodation, an organised programme and all transport costs.  Please contact Sue & Paul to discuss your indivual programme and they will confirm the cost.

pick up from school, visit enroute [optional extra]

arrival, settle in, fire practice & evening meal

getting to know Dunfield and free play

workbooks

supper & bed

breakfast and day out to Elan Valley [to include packed lunch, tour guide, explore around and chance to go inside a dam, [restrictions may apply] museum & gift shop, opportunity to explore art & expressive activities

evening meal back at Dunfield & workbooks

free play, campfire with hot dogs

bed

breakfast and free play in the grounds

leave for school after lunch [or optional extra to have packed lunch and visit on the way home

arrival back
