Swimming Pool

Our pool is kept to an average 28 degrees and is available for groups onsite to use, either as a fun activity or as an opportunity to teach children/adults to swim or improve their confidence.  

Documentation on safe practice is read and signed by all ‘responsible adults’ prior to instruction from the manager on duty regarding the opening and locking of the pool building and on how to remove [and replace] the pool cover.

Times are agreed with the manager on duty and agreed by both groups onsite if the house and Stables are booked.

 At times when the pool is not booked by a group onsite [eg: over meal times] it is hired out to community users. This offers local people the opportunity to use a pool close to home,  generally it is booked by either families introducing youngsters to swimming or more mature swimmers who both of whom appreciate the privacy of the pool  along with the warm water

You are welcome to take photographs in the pool inline with your own policies and risk assessments.

Education groups are advised to contact their education department as part of their initial risk assessments as all areas have differing rules and regulations regarding swimming during residential activities.

Guests staying at Dunfield House and/or Stables: the charge for the pool is included in your price tariff, please discuss swimming times during your planning stages.  There is plenty of opportunity to add/reduce swim sessions depending on weather etc whilst you are in residence.
